Adam Holmes & Heidi Talbot

Edinburgh Native Adam Holmes celebrates 10 years as a
singer-songwriter and is joined by folk star Heidi Talbot for a very
special afternoon of music at Burns&Beyond.
Adam will be
performing highlights from award-winning albums, Heirs and Graces,
Brighter Still, midnight Milk and Dreamweaver, which have cast an
impressive shadow across the UK Folk Scene and gained him Scottish Album
of the Year Nominations(2014, 2017 & 2018) and BBC Radio 2 Folk Award
Nominations. An opportunity to catch an artist, already loved in the UK
roots music circles, ahead of his impending ascent into the wider
consciousness.
Heidi Talbot was born in a small
village in Co. Kildare, became a folk star in the US as a member of the
Irish American band Cherish the Ladies, and now lives in Edinburgh. From
her "mesmerising" and "intoxicating" gossamer voice to the delicate
re-working of traditional and contemporary material, she slips
effortlessly between musical worlds but retains a personal modesty rooted
in traditional folk. Heidi has been nominated for Folk singer of the year
and Best Traditional Song by BBC Radio 2, Best Live Act by the Scottish
Traditional Music Awards and Best Female Vocalist at The Irish Music
Awards. She has shared the stage and recorded with Mark Knopfler, Graham
Coxon (Blur), Eddi Reader, Idlewild, Matt Rollings, Swedish super group
Vasen, Dervish, King Creosote, Tim O'Brien and Jerry Douglas.
